Neon Genesis Evangelion

Several weeks have passed since I watched the final film of Neon Genesis Evangelion. A plethora of emotions flooded my mind when I walked out of the theater, and my friends probably have had enough of it since I had no one else to share this complicated love hate relationship I have with this franchise.

While the remake to me is a dumbed down and better produced version of the franchise, Anno Hideaki, you are a magnificent bastard for creating this series that I will hold as a piece of me to my grave.

I've seen your interviews, yet you went so far to send these messages despite not truly believing in them yourself. Attempting to show the broken people the colors of the wind. You and I both understand well enough that life definitely has its plain, simple, unadulterated happiness to it. The issue isn't that we do not know them. It is that our wounds are so deeply carved into our arms, knowing that we will never feel whole. Yet you're saying, it is alright to be broken, while you barely managed to put this final film out, using all your will to tell all the broken ones, everything will be okay.

So here is my tribute to Neon Genesis Evangelion and Director Anno Hideaki.
I will keep on trying, until the day I can't.
